Community Benefits Lead Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub

Kate is the chief academic officer at Washington State University Tri-Cities, the most diverse campus in the WSU system. Kate has a BS in Biological Chemistry from Ulster University in Northern Ireland and earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina.  Before joining the faculty at WSU Tri-Cities, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and prior to that, she was a Teacher-Scholar at the University of Washington. In her role as community benefits lead, she leads a team to support the PNWH2 Hub  to create a clean hydrogen ecosystem across the Pacific Northwest in partnership with labor, Tribal Nations, and public and private sectors to improve the lives and futures of people throughout the region.
